Send A Video Stamp.

Send A Video Stamp.

Half of my very big family lives overseas and interstate which means Christmas can be a little tough.

My sister lives in Paris, my brother is in Byron Bay, my sister-in -law is in Japan and my brother-in-law in is in London which means no unwrapping presents with my nieces and nephews and lots of empty chairs around the Christmas table.

It’s a bit The Grinch Who Stole My Family.

Enter this super cute idea from Australia Post – the world’s first Video Stamp. (love that Aussie’s thought of it first!)

Simple scan technology allows you to send a 15-second personalised video message along with the parcels your sending overseas. All you have to do is request a Video Stamp at your Post Office when you buy an Express Post or Express Courier International satchel and the barcode and your smart device will do the rest.

Did I mention that that they’re FREE! Go to

You know how much I love a new tech gadget and this one is awesome. It means when the my niece Lily opens her present in Paris (this was my sister and my kids with all together in July) she’ll get a talking card like this from her Auntie P.

Step By Step.

I. Stick: Peel off your video stamp and stick it to the top rigt hand corner of your package.

2. Send: Post just like a regular Express Post or Express Courier International parcels.

3. Download the Australia Post Video App.

 iTunes  –HERE

Google PlayHERE

4. Scan:  The stamps use QR code technology, so just scan the bar code with your smart device and then record your message. Once you’re happy all you have to do is press upload and your done.

Fast forward Christmas morning and the someone you love is unwrapping their gift and just like magic you’re in their lving room.
